Licensed Clinical Psychologist
I'm a licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 23 years of experience providing psychotherapy and psychological support to adolescents and adults. I hold a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from The George Washington University and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Howard University. I also hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Seton Hall University. I am licensed in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia, and I am a member of the American Psychological Association.
My professional background spans a wide range of clinical settings, including therapeutic foster care, programs serving pre-adjudicated youth, residential treatment, psychological evaluation firms, and school-based mental health services. For more than 15 years, my work in schools has included supporting students, teachers, faculty, and parents across the District of Columbia through direct clinical care, consultation, and psychoeducation. Across these environments, I've developed a strong foundation in evidence-informed care, crisis support, collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams, and helping clients build practical tools they can use outside of session. This breadth of experience allows me to understand the complexity clients bring into therapy and to tailor treatment in a way that is compassionate, culturally responsive, and grounded in real-life needs.
In my private practice in Rockville, Maryland, I provide therapy for adolescents and adults (ages 11+). I work with concerns including anxiety, depression, and mood-related disorders, as well as stress, life transitions, grief, self-esteem challenges, and relationship concerns. My approach is supportive and structured, and I partner with clients to identify patterns, strengthen coping skills, and build healthier ways of responding to life's stressors. I strive to create a therapeutic space that feels welcoming, collaborative, and nonjudgmental - where clients can be honest about what they're carrying and feel empowered to make meaningful change at their own pace.
I also enjoy working with athletes and high-achievers who want support with the psychological side of performance. This may include managing pressure and expectations, strengthening confidence, improving concentration, navigating team or coaching dynamics, coping with setbacks, and rebuilding momentum after injury. Whether your goals are personal, academic, or performance-related, I help clients develop mental skills that support resilience, clarity, and consistent follow-through.
I offer services in person and via Telehealth, including Telehealth services to clients located in approved PSYPACT participating states. My goal is to make care accessible and effective while ensuring each client feels supported, understood, and equipped with tools that genuinely fit their life.
